Grab Calculator: How much can a Grab PDVL Driver earns

Grab drivers can earn varying amounts depending on factors such as location, time of day, and demand for rides.

The fare structure for Grab includes a base fare, distance travelled, and time spent on the ride, and drivers are paid based on this.

In other words, drivers actively earn their income by collecting fares from passengers for each ride they take, with the amount varying based on the factors mentioned above.

For the sake of easy calculation and adopting the law of averages, we take an average fare of $25/hr for peak-hour driving and $20/hr for off-peak-hour driving.

Weekday Peak Hour 7 am-9 am, 5 pm-8 pm.

Weekend Peak Hours – All day

How much can a Part-Timer Grab Driver earn

Drive just to cover the cost

Monday to Friday
6 pm to 9 pm (2 peak hours + 1 offpeak hour) = $70/day

Saturday and Sunday
9 am to 12 pm (3 peak hours) – $75/day

How much can you earn a week – $70×5 + $75×2 = $500

Monday to Friday
6 am to 10 am (2 peak hours + 2 off-peak hours) = $90/day
5 pm to 7 pm (2 peak hours) = $50/day

6 am to 6 pm (3 peak hours + 8 off-peak hours) $235/day

Saturday and Sunday

6 am to 6 pm (11 peak hours) $275/day

How much can you earn – $235×5 + $275×2 = $1725

Full-Time Grab Driver (44hrs/week)

Monday to Friday (35 hours)
6 am to 10 am (2 peak hours + 2 off-peak hours) = $90/day
5pm to 8pm (2 peak hours + 1 off-peak hour) = $70/day

Saturday and Sunday (9 hours)
9 am to 1.30 pm (4.5 peak hours) = $$112.50/day

How much can you earn – ($90+$70)x5 + $112.50×2 = $1025

Full-Time Grab Driver (60hrs/week)

Monday to Thursday (35 hours)
6am to 10am (2 peak hours + 2 off-peak hours) = $90/day
5pm to 8pm (2 peak hours + 1 off-peak hour) = $70/day

Saturday and Sunday (10 hours)*
9 am to 8 pm (10 peak hours ) = $250/day

How much can you earn – ($90+$70)x5 + $250×2 = $1300
