How much Incentive can an UberX Driver earn now?

Uber incentivises its drivers to drive during the busiest hours of the week by offering a boost incentive.
Since the change of incentive, many drivers have complained that it is very hard to do, earn lesser, too much competition and always talk about throwing key. Our part-time driver tell us it is bullshit and he still can make as much or even more in 1 morning.

Monday – 7am-10am
8 trips
Total fare – $109.84
Toll – $4
Nett – $105.84

Wednesday – 630am – 10am
10 trips
Total fare – $131.94
Toll $6.50
Nett – $125.44

Tuesday – 7am – 1015am
8 trips
Total fare – $76.57
Toll – $4.50
Nett – $72.07

Cash King for the week – $100 for 25 trips

Avg incentive per trip – $100/ 25 = $4

Average Trip per hour – 2.45

Takehome fare about hour (excluding cash king)
$318.35 – $15 (toll) = $303.35
Per hr – $303.35 / 10.6 hours = $28.61

Our driver makes an average of $28.61 an hour in this 3 days of testing the new incentive system, which works out to an even higher average fare than the previous guaranteed per hour fare. If the Cash King incentive is factored in, the average per hour rate would cross the $30 mark.

How much can an UberX Driver earn in early 2016? **OLD**

Hourly guarantee incentive works like the minimum wage scheme that countries like Australia and US adopt. It simply means that if you work for a certain number of hours during a specific period, they will pay you a minimum hourly amount for that period. For example , if you work for 3 hours on Friday evening from 5pm – 8pm, you will earn a minimum of $74.40 after commission. If you only made $30 within these 3 hours, you will be top-up the difference of $44.40 to $74.40. If you earn more than $74.40 during the 3 hours, you will keep whatever you have earned but there will be no further top-up from Uber.

There are different hourly guarantee rates for each day and period. Will you be able to make money just by driving the incentive peak hours? Let’s work out the sums if you drive purely during the incentive peak hours

Meets requirements of

 1. 1.5 trips average per block period (min 2 hours on the road per block)

For every 3 hour block, you have to do 5 trips ( 5 trips divided by 3 hours = 1.67 trips per hour)

For every 2 hour block, you have to do 3 trips ( 3 trips divided by 2 hours = 1.5 trips per hour)

2. Overall weekly acceptance rate of 80%

For your 10 incoming job request, the minimum you must accept is 8.

 3. Min completion rate of 65%

You accepted 60 trips but has a cancellation of 21 trips, your acceptance rate would be 65%

   ( 39 trips / 60 trips = 65% )
