Tamper Evident Decal for all Uber / Grab / Private-Hire Vehicles
In line with regulating the Private Hire Car industry, LTA has introduced a series of measures to have better control and raise the standards of service providers.
The measures include introducing the Private car Driver Vocational Licence (PDVL) and introducing a tamper-evident decal.
Registration for PDVL has begun since March and first batch of drivers have started training.
With effect from 1 July 2017, all registered Private-Hire vehicles must affix a prominent tamper-evident decal on their windscreen.
The introduction of the decal will allow easier identification for riders during pick-up. It will also allow easier enforcement against unlicensed drivers soliciting for ride.
