Who Can Drive on GrabHitch
Grabhitch enables regular drivers give fellow commuters a lift, meet new people, and cover the costs of owning a car.
Grabhitch Drivers has to be at least 19 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with at least 1 year’s driving experience and owns a vehicle with valid auto insurance.
Is GrabHitch legal
GrabHitch is fully legal and in accordance to LTA regulations for drivers to be monetarily rewarded for providing carpooling services as of March 2015. According to regulations set out by LTA, each driver is allowed to 2 carpooling rides per day
How much can a GrabHitch driver earn per trip
According to Grab, GrabHitch drivers can expect to receive $8-$12 per trip on average
How do the passenger pay GrabHitch driver
Cash or GrabPay (Credit/Debit Card) Only.
All GrabHitch drivers will have a digital wallet with Grab that keeps all the credit card payments. Drivers can cashout the money in the digital wallet anytime to their desired bank account.
The payment will take up to 10 days to be deposited into the driver’s bank account upon cashout.
How much commission Grab takes from GrabHitch trips
Grab takes a 10% service fee from Drivers with effect from 1 June 2018.
Who pays for ERPs on a GrabHitch trip
The fare that is paid by the rider is final and includes any ERPs that may be incurred during the course of the journey.
How many riders can I pick
GrabHitch drivers can pick up to 4 riders in a trip. Riders can select up to 4 riders per request.
