Surprise surprise! Grab has thrown a last minute special peak hour fare booster reward for drivers.
Grab drivers should have received a notification on their driver app for the peak hour fare booster reward around 4 pm, 1 hour before the program start.
What is this about?
Grab drivers will earn a bonus of $5 for every trip completed within the qualifying time period.
Friday 30 November 2018 – 5 pm to 12:59 am
Saturday 1 December 2018 – 9 am to 12:59 am
Sunday 2 December 2018 – 10 am to 7:59 pm
For the not-so-sure drivers, it means that your incoming trip request time must be between these time slot to qualify. For example, if you ‘heng heng’ got an incoming trip on Sunday at 7:59 pm and completes the trip at 8:30 pm, your trip is qualified.
There is also a $3 Spot Bonus for pick-ups and drop-offs at Sentosa between 3 pm and 12:59 am.
Terms and Condition
There is no Acceptance Rating and Cancellation Rating requirement for this peak hour special. However, all destination trips and dares do not qualify for incentives.
Why suddenly give bonus?
Drivers have been kpkb-ing about the removal of the peak hour incentive. Many felt that the introduction of the Income Guarantee was the smoke-screen to remove the peak-hour incentive. Drivers have complained that their income has further decreased as a result of that.
The REAL reason behind the sudden introduction of this peak hour fare booster is too obvious lah! Go-Jek introduced their beta app into Singapore yesterday and is testing their system for improvement.
What a way to disrupt your competitors! Thanks Go-Jek for bringing back the competition.
