The long-awaited Self-employed person Income Relief Scheme opens for application on Monday 27-April-2020.
Many users started to standby at the stroke of midnight to be among the first to apply. They were not aware that applications only started at 9 am on Monday morning.
High Volume
Many users were experiencing difficulty in their application during the first few hours. It did not take long before NTUC posted the following high volume notice on the main page of the website.
Some users who tried to Submit a New Application were also greeted with a “Due to heavy traffic, please come back later.
Relax lah, No need rush
SIRS scheme is the highlight of the resilience budget for many self-employed people who are badly affected by the CB situation.
Many people including private-hire, taxi, property agents, insurance agents and many small business owners were looking for some relief from their loss in income.
As we await for website traffic to stabilize, applicants can get ready the following documents first for their application.
Basically, you will need your Singpass and the relevant income documents to submit for application. Failure to do provide the relevant documents will result in an incomplete and unsuccessful application.
Understand your SIRS eligibility and get ready all your documents before applying online if not you will be wasting your time.
